$25Join The Arc of Multnomah-Clackamas on July 20th from 9:30-12:30 PM at Bridges Middle School in Portland, OR for a sibling support program called “Sibshops”.
What are Sibshops? For parents and adults who facilitate the group, Sibshops are evidence of loving concern for the family member who will have the longest-lasting relationship with a person who has a disability. For the kids who attend them, Sibshops are a day of fun and laughter where they will meet other sibs (usually for the first time), have fun, laugh, talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sib with special needs, play some great games, and learn something about the services their brothers and sister receive.
The Arc Summer Sibshop is open to siblings between the ages of seven and thirteen years with a sib who has special health, medical, or emotional support needs. Registration is $25 and includes a snack and lunch. Scholarships are available on a limited basis.
